Complaints
If something about the website, an enquiry, or the work does not feel right, you can raise it directly. This page explains how.
Who this covers
Leon Smith MBACP (Accred) trades as Consider Counselling. He is a BACP accredited member and works to the BACP Ethical Framework.
This page is about concerns with the practice. It is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact emergency services.
Talk to the practice first
Most issues can be resolved by saying what happened and what you would like to happen next. Email hello@considercounselling.co.uk or use the Contact page.
Please include enough detail to look into it, and avoid sending sensitive clinical information by email unless you already have an agreed way of working.
If we are already working together
Concerns about sessions, boundaries, or the working agreement can be raised in a session or in writing. If we cannot resolve it between us, you can take it further as below.
BACP
If you are not satisfied with the response from the practice, or you prefer to go to the professional body, BACP handles complaints about its members. Details are on the BACP protecting the public pages. Leon Smith’s public listing is on the BACP therapist directory.
Data protection
Concerns about how personal information is handled can be sent to hello@considercounselling.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. See the Privacy policy for more detail.
